International Symposium on Plant Photobiology
ISPP 2026
September 8 – 11, 2026
Les Diablerets, Switzerland
About the event
ISPP meetings started in the 1970s as a European Symposium for Plant Photobiology, it became the International Symposium for Plant Photobiology (ISPP) in 2000 to reflect the growing influence of scientists in the Americas and Asia. Since then, the meeting happens every 2-3 years. At each ISPP meeting the community elects the team who will organise the next event. At ISPP2024 that was organised in India, a Swiss team comprising Dr Emilie Demarsy (UniGe), Prof. Martina Legris (UniNe), Prof. Roman Ulm (UniGe) and Prof. Christian Fankhauser (UNIL) were elected to organise ISPP2026. This meeting will showcase recent advances in plant photobiology, with a focus on how light signalling integrates with key physiological processes and environmental responses, in particular temperature.
